What a month for volunteering!

I am announcing I am officially done volunteering my time! What a month of April for offices. I was on the library board, but cannot be now, due to being a board member for the Village of Gresham, conflict of interest. Cody and I still work up there two hours once every five weeks though. He loves it up there, so hey why not. So yes, board member once a month meeting up at the Village Office, not to bad. Now just got voted in as Secretary for Cody's School for Parent's Association. WOW! They meet once every quarter so four times a year, not bad. They forgot to leave out though you have to serve drinks and cookie bars at all the events! WOW! Not sure I will make all of those for the next two years, but we'll see what happens! I am done volunteering for now. And Sunday School teacher next year, NO WAY! I have two or three more times to teach, ALL DONE! Those 4th grade little angels, gotta love them though!

Christmas Program at Church

Cody always doing a good job at singing in church. These are his classmates, only 7 of them, but they have the power in their voices and you can hear them great. Good job class of 2019! Yes, I said it 2019. I graduated in 1989 and Cody will graduate in 2019! WOW!

Bandana and the tree

Cody is taking after his daddy in wearing his bandana like daddy. Oh geez! What next a tattoo, I don't think so! LOL!

Cody testing for Taekwondo

As you know Cody is in Taekwondo and here he is right before Christmas testing for his orange and white belt for Taekwondo. I hope he goes far in this sport, teaching him really good things! Way to go Cody!

Of course they still have fun down at Grandpa Frank's all of the time. Cannot post all Christmas pics it would take awhile! But Cody had fun, always has fun playing with his favorite cousins Jordan and Shane!

WHAT A WEEK CODY HAD!

Last week was a rough week for Codeman. It started off with a cold, that really did not slow him down though. Then last Tuesday we went to a dermatologist for his warts because after over a year now we still have them. We started out with Compound W, nothing, Compound Free Off, nothing, went to his pediatrician and she froze them off, they all came back plus more, we have been using acid on them and then scraping the dead skin off, nothing. Oh my gosh. So went to a dermatologist and she is putting on green beetle blister juice on them. No kidding. Three of them have gone away, but very painful, and when she put it on, smells very bad like rotten eggs or something and then the pain sets in a couple hours later. Oh Geez. But then saw Santa Claus that night too, so pretty sure made him feel better. Then Thursday night right before Taekwondo slammed his hand in the sliding door of the van. THAT HURT HIM! Then it swelled up right away so went to the York Hospital on the way to Taekwondo because already had the other boys with us. No broken bones, still bruised on one finger too. Geez Cody you are taking after mommy, not good! STOP IT! LOL!

Trace Atkin's Concert

Oh, my gosh, I thought I would never convert over to Country music, but man, Bill and I went to the Trace Atkins Concert Sunday night in Lincoln, I just might. That was after we ate at the most awful restaurant, I about threw up. It is called Chipotle, it is a mexican restaurant, sorry if some of you like, but not my taste buds. AGGH! YUK! So that concert made up for it, he was swingin his hips and just that smile, oh my gosh, hey girls do you know he is our age 35ish or something like that. Don't know the whole history on him, but have to buy his new CD now Dangerous Man. WOW! Jason Aldeen was there too, Billy Currington was supposed to be, but he had a sore throat, was sick, darn it. Dang good time, still whirlin and it is Thursday! WOOO! Doesn't hurt to look, right!

Thanksgiving Center Piece

We also got crafty on our centerpiece, acutally I had these items and told Cody to put them on this tray and that was our centerpiece! That way we could remove easily for all the food, that we are still eating and munching on! GEEZ!

Pretty crafty for Thanksgiving!

Cody and I made these wonderful looking turkeys for Cody's Annual Bazzare for his school and also kept a few for Thanksgiving Dinner! Boy, are we getting crafty or what? LOL!

I feel really good!

No pictures with this one, can you believe it!! LOL! Got the best phone call yesterday, a repeat customer for my side business, Ice'd by Amy, she ordered a cake for a fundraiser for her kids school and she just had to think of somebody that makes cakes look good and taste good, her own words, so she called me. It is real interesting because her neighbor started making cakes, not a lot, but she wanted me to make the cake for her. HOW COOL IS THAT! Oh, my gosh.

Also met line count yesterday. My work has more pressure on it as in if you don't meet line count you are out, simple as that, I met it again! They check us every two weeks! No stress, no pressure there. So YES, met line count.

Also this morning figured out how to play videos with the help of my brother Kent, thank you very much, again, with all my computer questions. I always have copied them on disc, but never could figure out how to play them, just DID! YES! Just feeling really good right now. Got to have those days, right, the little things in life that make you say okay maybe I am doing really good in life and saying, YES!

GI Joe Man this year for Halloween!

Good face paint work daddy!

Having fun in the leaves, many leaves!

Cody is burying me in the leaves before we go out trick or treating tonight! Thanks Codeman!

Cody as a cat!

This picture here is from the Literacy Festival Bill drove a bunch of kids on their field trip to Seward. Out of 60-70 kids Cody was picked by an author and got drawn as a cat! How cool is that! Way to go Cody!

Playing some Games

Yes, we played tape the nose to the pumpkin, made some spider projects, and of course played musical chairs. Fun to watch!

Cody's Halloween Party at School

Yes, that is Bill as Joseph and me as Mary carrying baby Jesus. We had all the kids (7) dress up as either a bible character or an animal for Noah's Ark! Way fun time! All had fun. Thanks Mrs. Koch for letting us in your classroom! Bill and I had to make scarecrow faces for treats! Good stuff too! Thanks honey!

I have to add in here too, Bill and I, were laughing pretty darn hard on the way to this Halloween party! For all those that have known us throughout our lives. Just picture this Bill and I dressed up as Mary and Joseph with baby Jesus and Cody as a turtle going to a private Lutheran School. 20 years ago we would have never seen that one coming, NEVER! LOL!

THIS IS TY PENNINGTON! LOOK CLOSE!

Yes, Cody and I headed to Lincoln one Sunday afternoon because we heard Home Extreme Makeover was in town. It was so cool. Thanks to my friend Laurie for only living two blocks away, otherwise we would have not seen Ty at all. He was in the Police car doing some shots up and down her block. No autograph, but Cody and I were standing on the block and we said HI TY and he waved at Cody and I. WAY COOL!! This is a ritual of ours every Sunday night Codeman and I watch this show. He likes to Demolition part and seeing the different kids room too. Very good show! Very FUN afternoon! Thanks again Laurie for letting us invade on you! Don't know when the show will be on but we can say we were there! LOL!

Cody and Bill's Halloween pumpkin

Great job guys! That is a cool looking pumpkin!

Mom finally got a helmet!

Finally got a helmet to go riding with Bill! Why am I not wearing it then? LOL!

My Fall Decoration

Who is in that bail of straw? Can you figure it out!! LOL!
